BFR WULT DAFY

by Anna Kopito | 30.12.14

There is nothing that makes us more excited than a great collaboration! This Saturday (3/1) at Studio Hertzel 140 a special winter sale will take place with some of our favourite people – Woke Up Like This and Born From Rock. They have promised that there will music, drinks, and a lot of pretty things! Check out the Facebook event for all the details.

You have heard us talking about Born From Rock many times before. The new jewellery collective – that participated in our last Pop Up Shop at Mazeh 9 – was founded by three friends; the goldsmith Gili Barnea, the artist Maayan Elyakim (both Bezalel Art Academy graduates) and Nira Shlimovich who graduated from Parsons with an MA in Fashion Studies. BFR’s first collection explores ancient symbols and ideas in their archetypal dimension, and translates them into their most contemporary form.

Woke Up Like This (W.U.L.T) is a new fashion brand by Maya Lebovich and Daphi Elbee that we have started to follow. The designers met and befriended at Shenkar fashion design department, and after graduating created a fashion brand based on the fantasy of waking up in the morning and getting out of the house with the same cozy and comfortable feeling of the clothes we cuddle up in at night. W.U.L.T presents carefully designed contemporary clothes based on a clean and simple aesthetic, with sporty influences and refined colours which create an easy going total look. Their first collection is a capsule non seasonal collection which plays with pastel colours and black and white, and includes items that work with each other in different combinations. The collection is created for the Israeli weather and includes diverse items from summer dresses that can also work in the winter to sweaters. All of the garments are made out of breathable high quality fabrics, and manufactured in Tel Aviv.

This photos above were taken by the photographer Dafy Hagai, who recently released her book Israeli Girls (that we mentioned a few months ago). We can’t express enough how much we appreciate her work. We are therefore also taking the opportunity to share her book launch and sale, which is taking place this Friday at Casino San Remo in Noga. For more details visit the Facebook event.
